Our pledge

10% of our profits go to three organisations fighting for women's safety in India.

Every Red Line you buy funds women who are already fighting back: in courtrooms, on crisis helplines and in hospital wards. The 10% is split equally between the three, and every transfer is published on this page.

Majlis · Mumbai

Free lawyers

for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, from the first police complaint to the final court hearing.

Jagori · Delhi/NCR

Crisis helplines

counsellors and emergency support for women facing harassment and violence, plus safety audits that fix dangerous streets.

PCVC · Chennai

Survivor care

medical treatment, shelter and relocation for survivors of burns, acid attacks and severe domestic abuse.

What "profit" means here: what we keep from Red Line sales after paying for the product, packaging, delivery, payment fees and advertising. Every monthly receipt shows that calculation in full, so you can check it.

Free delivery on every pack. We priced Red Line low on purpose, so every woman can carry one.

Why Red Line exists

Do not cross this line.

We were told to be careful. Don't go out late. Share your location. Walk faster. Hold your keys between your fingers. We did all of it. It was never enough, because the problem was never us.

Right now women are on the streets across India saying the same thing: we are done asking to be safe. Red Line is for the moment someone decides your "no" is optional.

You don't freeze. You don't wait for a bystander. You don't hope he changes his mind. You draw the line, and if he crosses it, he regrets it. Up to 12 feet of stream, in your fist, clipped to the bag you already carry.

Who they are

Three organisations. Three fronts of the same fight.

All three are Indian organisations working for women's safety. One stands with survivors in court. One answers the crisis call and fixes the dark streets. One carries survivors through the hardest recovery there is.

Majlis Manch

Legal defence and courtroom representation

What they do

Founded by feminist lawyer Flavia Agnes, Majlis runs the Rahat programme: free, dedicated legal representation for survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse, with an all-women team of trial lawyers and social workers who stay with a woman from the first FIR to cross-examination in court.

What your money pays for

Court filing fees, forensic paperwork, travel to hearings for survivors, and legal retainers for women who cannot afford a lawyer. Most survivors drop their cases because going it alone is too costly and too hostile. This keeps them in the fight.

Jagori

Public safety audits and crisis intervention

What they do

The Delhi/NCR organisation behind India's Safe Cities audits. Jagori runs crisis helplines and emergency counselling, and works with transport and municipal bodies to fix the dark spots and harassment zones in north Indian cities.

What your money pays for

Crisis helpline operations, field counsellors, emergency support, and neighbourhood youth workshops in resettlement colonies and low-income settlements where women face the most harassment with the least support.

PCVC

Survivor care, shelter and advocacy

What they do

The International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care handles the hardest end of gender-based violence: crisis management, medical rehabilitation, emergency shelter and legal advocacy for survivors of burns, acid attacks and severe domestic abuse. They also run the Dhwani domestic violence helpline.

What your money pays for

Immediate medical treatment, reconstructive care, safe-house stays, and emergency relocation for survivors escaping dangerous homes. Long recoveries that rarely get corporate CSR money.

Straight answers

Is pepper spray legal to carry in India?

Yes. Pepper spray is legal to buy and carry in India for self-defence. Indian law gives you the right to defend yourself. Use it when someone threatens you, never as a prank or to attack first.

How do I use it?

Unlock the cap, hold the can upright in your fist with the nozzle facing away from you, aim at his eyes and press the top of the cap with your thumb. Spray in short bursts, then move. Test once outdoors, away from people, so your hand knows the motion.

How far does it reach and how many sprays do I get?

Up to 12 feet, and about 40 short bursts from the 35 g can.

Can I carry it on a flight?

No. Pepper spray is not allowed in cabin baggage or checked luggage on flights. Metro and building security may also ask you to leave it.

Is delivery really free?

Yes, on every pack, anywhere we deliver in India. Aerosols travel by surface courier, so delivery can take a few days longer than usual.

What happens to the 10% if I cancel or return?

A cancelled or returned order earns nothing, so it adds nothing to the profit. Every receipt in the ledger shows the sales, costs and profit it was calculated on, so you can check the maths yourself.

Who decides how the money is used?

The organisations do. They know where it is needed most. We transfer it, and we publish the proof.

Women walking arm in arm at a march: We are done being careful.

We are done being careful.

We shared our live location. We walked faster. We took the long way round because it was better lit. It was never enough, because the problem was never us. Red Line puts the power back where it belongs: in your fist, on your terms.
